CYPRUS
The birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty and love, makes no
surprise with its jaw-dropping elegance and grace.
Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean sea, an Island-Country blessed with magnificent scenery and privileged climate. An island of so many beautiful places and a country full of contrasts; cool, pine-clad mountains forming a complete contrast with its golden sun-kissed beaches.
Tranquil timeless villages are also in striking contrast to the modern cosmopolitan cities, luxurious beach side hotels and large areas of natural unspoiled countryside. A beautiful place to fall in love with.
Cyprus is a small country, strategically located, in the heart of a natural meeting place. It has two International Airports in Larnaca and Paphos that are served by all major international airlines, with worldwide connections.
Nicosia (Lefkosia)
Nicosia (or Lefkosia) is the capital of Cyprus and it has been the country’s first city for 1000 years. It lies roughly in the centre of the island in the Mesaoria Plain, flanked by the beautiful northern mountain range of Pentadaktylos.
Seat of Government, Diplomatic headquarters and cultural centre of Cyprus, the capital intertwines the old, original part of the city, and a busy modern metropolis which has a population of 350,000 including the surrounding suburbs.
The central Eleftheria Square links old Nicosia with the elegant modern city, where hotels, offices, restaurants and gardens blend with the traditional architecture of old houses and colonial buildings of this cosmopolitan city.
Limassol
Limassol is the island’s largest seaside resort. Since the middle ages, Limassol has been known to traders for its wine and sugar cane. The city had countless visitors through the ages, sculptors, artists, merchants, and pirates, all left their mark. Limassol is the second largest city of Cyprus, with a population of 300,000, it is the island’s most important commercial and tourist centre. Experience the festive and carefree side as you wander among its bustling little shopping streets and numerous trendy restaurants and bars.
Paphos
Paphos is nestled in the Western Troodos Mountains and offers home to 100,000 people. The beautiful west coast town enfolds an unusual attractive harbour, with picturesque open air fish restaurants that overlook the Byzantine Castle. The town became the capital of Cyprus under the successors of Alexander the Great and continued as the first city for more than seven centuries.
Paphos expresses an air of original summer holiday charm, combined with history, with its classical style buildings.
Ayia Napa
With its endless sunny beaches, Ayia Napa has become the homeland to the sun seekers and the Summer party capital to all its visitors. Ayia Napa, once a small fishing village, boasts a superb monastery with a central octagonal fountain, with pure Venetian architecture.
The centre point of the resort is the small harbour, with the tavernas specialising in fresh fish which are harvested by the colourful fishing vessels. Cape Greco, also offers a glance of sand beaches and coves.
Rural Cyprus
